Beautiful James Bay

James Bay is a little bit of paradise nestled between the Inner Harbour of Victoria and the Outer Harbour with a panoramic view of the mountains of the Olympic Peninsula and the low-lying hills of the Westshore and Sooke Peninsula.

On a clear day you can see forever, and with the aid of a pair of binoculars, you can catch a glimpse of Port Angeles (across the Straight of Juan de Fuca), Race Rocks (where the sea lions lounge about in the midst of Puget Sound), and the sailboats, the ocean kayaks, the “Coho” ferry, and the “Victoria Clipper”, not to mention the fast whaleboats filled with tourists make their way to their destinations.

Sandwiched between Victoria’s Inner and Outer Harbour, James Bay residents enjoy strolling pink blossom-lined streets in springtime and ocean-side walkways all year-round, as well as a grandstand view of Canada Day fireworks on July 1st, cheering on runners in the annual Royal Victoria Marathon in October, or tasting hot chocolate while watching the festive lights of the Christmas Truck Parade along Dallas Road in December.
