Welcome to My James Bay, your guide to goings-on in Victoria’s oldest gathering-place. In 25 words or less, the purpose of this site is to " portray the place, the people, and the paraphernalia to be found in the oldest and densest neighborhood of British Columbia’s capital city, Victoria."

According to Wikipedia, it’s also the "oldest residential neighbourhood on the west coast of North America that is north of San Francisco." To those who live, work and stay here it’s "home sweet home"!

Contributors to this neighborhood blog include a number of colorful characters and talented types:

The Booklouse: A charming children’s author and former James Bay resident whose wit and a way with words gives him an entertaining excuse to contribute a variety of marvellous monthly book reviews!

Daphne Druthers, a resident rapscallion and comical cosmologist whose humorous horoscopes may zing or zap you where you least expect it!

The Frugal Fashionista: A vibrant vixen and ripsnorting resident of the neighborhood whose closet is filled with all manner of discounted duds, previously-enjoyed party attire, and cost-conscious couture.

We sincerely hope that you will explore and enjoy this helpful hub of interesting information about what’s unique about this place and what makes it tick!
