		<description>As a relative newcomer I am amazed at the anti-progress/anti-business sentiment here.  Here is what I see currently:

1) The Blue Bridge debacle.
2) 5 separate police services within a 40km radius.
3) No sewage treatment. Once in place we will really see taxes go up.
4) The city getting into the housing business by purchasing Motels.  I think we know how this will turn out.
5) City officials flip-flop on the Marina project and risk a very legitimate lawsuit.

Victoria is poorly managed and needs a political flushing.  Property taxes are increasing at almost double the rate of inflation.  How long will residents put up with this before replacing the existing council?</description>
