WINTER/SPRING 2010 – JAMES BAY FITNESS & SPORTS ACTIVITIES FOR ADULTS
 
What do you mean there’s nothing to do in James Bay during the winter and spring? Get a grip, there’s plenty to of things to do to get you wiggling and jiggling if not laugh a little at your lively love handles!

 

 
FITNESS:
 
ACUPRESSURE – For Head, Neck and Shoulders
Basic massage and acupressure techniques to help relieve everyday neck and shoulder strain and enhance your ability to handle stressful days. (James Bay Community School)

ACUPRESSURE MASSAGE
Improves circulation, muscle relaxation, tissue repair, organ stimulation, toxin elimination, lymphatic flow and emotional balancing. (James Bay New Horizons Activity Centre)

(1 hr sessions all day)
 
ACUPRESSURE – Parents & Children
Learn safe effective techniques and acupressure points to treat common digestive complaints and respiratory problems. Focus will be on children between ages of 3 and 6. (James Bay Community School)

This is a mild to moderate level non-stress aerobic workout for those returning to fitness or just starting

ACTIVE SENIORS ENJOYING LIFE (AESL) AEROBICS
This is a popular exercise program for couch potatoes needing a gentle exercise program from the comfort of a chair or others who want a fitness program that won’t leave them with telltale porcine perspiration. (James Bay New Horizons Activity Center). Call 250.386.3035 to register.

Exercise free for JBNH members – other $35 seasonal activity fee plus $5.50 for each lunch
 
CANE MASTERS
Learn the art of self-defense by using a simple cane and strength exercises using resistance rubber bands. (James Bay New Horizons Activity Center)
